Permission roles and visibility

A family relationship, such as parent, child, or relative, is separate from an app permission role. Fanely has four permission roles, and the relationship alone does not decide what someone can do. Managed children can be managed by a parent without a separate Apple Account.

  • Admin: Manages family settings and members, invitations, approvals, allowance operations, and subscription actions.
  • Editor: Handles daily family operations such as invitations, quest creation and approval, allowance grants, and Good Point approvals.
  • Participant: Uses their own allowance, quests, and Good Points, and can perform actions allowed for their own member.
  • Viewer: Reads allowance and other permitted records only; cannot create, edit, or approve records.

If a member or action is missing, check the signed-in account, family, selected or displayed member, child mode, and the target member’s allowance visibility. Linked members can choose who sees their allowance; managed children are visible across the family. Pending or removed members are not normal display or operation targets. Child mode hides adult actions, so exit it before changing family settings or approving items.
